The Production Control Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager on the planning and scheduling of all production activities, implementation of safety procedures and the scheduling of equipment maintenance in order to sustain the production schedule. This position will work with the Operations Manager to oversee production activities on a daily basis which will include overseeing production output of all departments/machine operators. In addition, this position will work closely with the Quality Manager on quality oversight. In consultation with the Operations Manager, Quality Manager and President, this position will be responsible for:

  • Executing on the production schedule to achieve daily standard rates, knowing when the schedule is going off-track and recommending corrections
  • Quality oversight on the floor; this includes working with the Quality Manager and employees; conducting spot inspections utilizing hand inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and PI tapes
  • Developing Work Instructions, updating SOPs as necessary and training employees to adhere to both the Work Instructions and SOPs
  • Conducting daily safety checks, leading monthly safety meetings, documenting improvements and updating SOPs as needed to ensure safety throughout the shop


  • A BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years planning, scheduling and managing the production schedule in a manufacturing environment
  • Press machine experience, including the ability and willingness to set up and operate a press
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture processes
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs and maintenance
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusion or approaches to problems
  • Ability to read, write and communicate efficiently in English in a professional and respectful manner
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), E2 Manufacturing Software (or similar); AutoCad and/or Solidworks
